You are free. You can speak your mind. You can practice your religion. You can go to school. You can go to private school. You can get married to who you want. You can be who you are.
Men and women gave their lives for that freedom. People have lost the one’s they loved - husbands, wives, children, moms and dad for your freedom.
So remember them. Remember the ones who fought. Remember the ones who didn’t get to come home. Remember those who did, and had to face life back at home. Remember the ones who had to wait for their loved ones. Remember the ones whose loved one’s never returned. Remember those in the Canadian Forces today.
All I can say, is thank-you. You deserve to be remembered every day.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. Lest we forget.
